“We must understand that everyone will be subject to grief and loss and it is only by coming together that we can be strong and carry on” Rebecca Smith Executive Director Surrey Hospice Society
May 6th is the first day of National Palliative Care week in Canada. It is also the Sunday before Mother’s Day. We have combined the two and are happy to announce High Tea for Hospice 2018. An afternoon to celebrate and honour mothers. All part of a very special fundraiser for Surrey Hospice. Please bring your nurturer and loved ones and join us! Surrey Hospice is a charity. It exists because of support from people like you: people who understand that community must care for each other from cradle to grave. We must understand that everyone will be subject to grief and loss and it is only by coming together that we can be strong and carry on. As in all things we are stronger together.
Event to be held at Surrey City Hall. Nothing less than an afternoon of pampering for mom. The tables will be set in traditional elegance with fancy table linens and fine china. Flowers, music and delicious treats will provide an environment of regal refinement and beauty
Tickets on sale now. Adult tickets $38.00 and children under 12 $23.00. All proceeds go towards vital programs that provide hospice and palliative support for all Surrey residents, free of charge.

About the Surrey Hospice Society
We have been serving the city of Surrey for 32 years. As the community has grown, so has the demand for our services. With both hospice and community programs, we provide life-affirming care for patients and their families. As the end of life approaches, our services are here to provide emotional, physical, and spiritual support. Our specially trained counsellors offer on-going grief and bereavement programs for children, youth and adults. We have over 200 trained volunteers that support families in palliative care and in their home. Regardless of their cultural or economic background we are here to support and comfort people facing end of life. All hospice services including hospice, palliative and grief support are free of charge. All an integral part of the City of Surrey.
